If you've been looking for a modern, minimal event space inspired by the organic elements found in European countrysides, look no further. The Harper in Costa Mesa, Orange County is one of my favorite wedding venues to recommend. This venue features large outdoor and indoor locations, two attached getting ready rooms and a hidden courtyard perfect for a private first look. The neutral walls and greenery covered ceremony backdrop, make for an easily transformed space. Some of my favorite features are the olive trees behind the altar, the vine covered walls in the courtyard and the natural light that flows through the bridal suite.
Venue stats:
- Can host up to 200 guests
- easy to book online and tour
- incredible onsite coordinators
- delicious food from roomforty
- private restrooms in each getting ready suite
- hidden door that connects the bridal and groom suite
This venue has so many pockets of pretty and you can set up the space in a lot of ways. Here's how I would set up the space for the perfect wedding day at the Harper.
Getting ready - final touches and getting dressed in the suites
First look - in the courtyard with the beautiful vining as the backdrop
Guest arrive - have the seating chart, any fan or parasol and the guest book in the entry foyer
Ceremony - in the outdoor space with the olive trees as the back drop
Cocktail hour - in the courtyard and behind the ceremony chairs
Family photos - if cloudy, take them in front of the olive trees. If sunny, take them in the courtyard.
Reception - inside with the sweetheart table against the mirror wall. I suggest long rectangle tables to frame the space well!
Dance floor - keep that in the center under the sky light! It's perfect for photos at all times of day.
If you're getting married at the Harper, hire us (the experts) to document your sweet day.
