Wedding and elopements in

If I could photograph a Downtown Riverside elopement every week, I would. Since my husband and I got married in 2018 we have lived in Downtown Riverside. We've watched it flourish and grow the last 4 years especially with incredible new restaurants, coffee shops and activities. It is our little taste of city without the traffic and high parking prices of LA. There are so many hidden gems throughout our downtown that I cannot wait to share with you!

Some of my favorite parts of this downtown are...

+ I've lived in Downtown Riverside for over six years and know it well!
+ You can lean into whatever vibe feels like you: romantic lakeside, historic architecture, modern city, blank space minimalism, grungy alleys, and more.
+ This is a hidden gem so crowds aren't often an issue.
+ If you want to do a delicious meal to celebrate after, there are dozens of options.
+ Even if you are coming from out of area, I have a list of amazing AirBnBs and hotels to stay at.

My dream morning elopement timeline

7 am: getting ready at the mission inn
8 am: ceremony - front of courthouse or city hall
8:15 am: photos around downtown
9 am: coffee break at Arcade
9:30 am: photos at the Mission Inn
11 am: end of session

My dream evening elopement timeline

5:15 pm: photos around downtown

wedding photography In Downtown Riverside

Many of my clients opt to do photos in a handful of locations. Downtown Riverside is very walkable for most of my go-to locations. There also aren't any permits needed for photography, unless you want to photograph inside the Mission Inn. The permit for the Mission is $500, but is highly worth it if you love the Spanish Architecture of the hotel.

Downtown can be busier on weekends due to the farmers market and city festivals, so weekdays are often the best option for a smaller elopement. If you are looking for a larger wedding venue to host your day, here is a list of my favorites: The Mission Inn, URC Art, Arcade Downtown, the Boathouse at Fairmount Park, Loft 84 and Thee Olde Chapel.

As a local, I have special custom pricing for all photography in Downtown Riverside.
